OUR STORY

Founded in July 2023 by Melissa Anderson, Camella takes its name from a unique blend of Melissa’s and her sisters’ names, symbolising family, unity, and strength. Camella was established with a clear purpose: to empower more women to enter and thrive in the property industry, to elevate the home-moving experience for clients, and to raise professional standards across an industry often challenged by outdated perceptions. With a fresh perspective and a strong mission at its core, Camella is redefining what it means to be an estate agency.

We describe ourselves as “beautifully boutique” a small, independent agency offering a luxurious service with powerful results.

At Camella, we believe in the importance of being part of the local community. Our high street locations, including our flagship office in Bear Flat, create a welcoming space where when you step inside it will feel more like home. With no stuffy suits or sales jargon, we offer a relaxed, friendly experience tailored to you.

Hi, I’m Melissa – proud founder and director of the agency. Born and raised in the beautiful city of Bath, I have a genuine passion for the local property market and love helping people buy and sell homes in my hometown. With nearly 20 years of experience in property – including 15 years as Commercial Director at Rightmove – I bring a strong marketing background and a fresh, ethical approach to estate agency. We focus on people first, with a caring, honest and knowledgeable service that helps make moving home a positive experience.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to three fantastic young adults and our cockapoo, Molly. You’ll often find me keeping active at the gym, playing netball, or enjoying Bath’s amazing food scene – always keen to support local restaurants and businesses!

With extensive experience in the Bath lettings market and solid industry qualifications, I lead with clear guidance, a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to exceptional service for both landlords and tenants. I’m passionate about making the lettings process smooth, transparent and as stress-free as possible, always aiming to match people with the right place to call home.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me behind a drum kit, trying to keep up with my two young children, or enjoying a well-earned Sunday roast, always with extra crispy potatoes.

Hi, I’m Matt – I live in the Wiltshire village of Box and have strong roots in the local area, having attended St Gregory’s School in Bath and studied Business at Bath College.

Before joining Camella, I worked in hospitality and leisure, where I developed a real passion for working with people. I later completed my estate agency qualification with distinction, and I absolutely love what I do especially helping clients find their dream home. There’s something incredibly rewarding about playing a key role in a move, particularly when the sale has had its challenges.

I’m a proud Aston Villa supporter (thanks to family ties to the Midlands), and a competitive cricket player in my spare time. I also enjoy golf—you’ll often find me at Cumberwell Park Golf Club working on my swing.

Whether it’s navigating complex sales or celebrating completions, I’m here to make the moving journey as smooth and positive as possible.

Hi, I’m Alex – mum of two children at KES in Bath and actively involved in school events and fundraising. Originally from London, I moved to Bath to raise my family and quickly fell in love with its charm, beauty, and sense of community.

I have a degree in History of Art and Architecture, so working in property in a city like Bath rich in architectural heritage is the perfect blend of my passions. My background as a luxury fashion buyer and experience in digital marketing has given me a strong eye for detail, presentation, and strategy.

That experience now helps me support clients through their moving journey from styling and marketing homes to ensuring a seamless, personal experience. There's nothing I love more than handing over the keys at the end of a successful sale.

Hi, I’m Tanya – a half-Spanish Londoner now happily settled in Wiltshire with my husband, our two rugby-mad boys, and Percy the dog. After studying at Exeter and spending ten years in the US, we came back to the South West for a slice of Cotswolds charm in Ford, near Chippenham – with beautiful Bath just around the corner.

My background’s in law, legal marketing, and events, but I’ve always loved people and property. I know buying or selling a home can feel overwhelming, so I’m passionate about making the journey smooth, personal, and genuinely enjoyable.
